Craig and Kate were married at South Shields Town Hall before heading north along the coast to continue the celebrations at Crusoe’s in Tynemouth.
Rather than going straight from one venue to the next, we stopped along the way at a few places that meant something to them both. It gave us the chance to create a more personal set of photographs, including some slightly more urban portraits around Tynemouth Station.
From the formal surroundings of South Shields Town Hall to the beachside setting at Crusoe’s, the day had plenty of variety without ever feeling overcomplicated. Their reception sat right beside Longsands Beach, with friends and family gathered together for a relaxed evening by the coast.
It was a brilliant day to photograph: personal, easy-going and full of places that were genuinely part of Craig and Kate’s story.
