About me

I’m Kristos, a photographer based in the North East of England.

I’ve spent more than ten years photographing weddings, people and places. My work sits somewhere between documentary and fine art, with a focus on natural moments, strong composition and images that feel honest rather than overly staged.

What matters most to me is creating photographs that still mean something years from now. The obvious moments are important, but so are the smaller things: a look across the room, a conversation between family members, the way people behave when they forget the camera is there.

At weddings, I keep a low profile and let the day unfold without constantly interrupting it. I’ll offer direction when it helps, but most of the time I’m observing, anticipating and photographing what is already happening.

The aim is to give you more than a record of how everything looked. I want the photographs to bring back the people, atmosphere and feeling of the day, and to become part of your family history over time.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and daughter. I’m usually happiest exploring the countryside on foot or by bike, cooking Greek food, taking photographs for no particular reason, or sitting beside a fire with a glass of red wine.
